Zeenah Perfumes was never created as just another fragrance brand.

It was born from a heritage that has lived for generations.

In Hojai, Assam, one of India's most respected regions for agarwood distillation, our founder Abdul Haseeb grew up surrounded by the timeless craft of producing pure oud oil. For his family, oud was never considered a luxury—it was a tradition, a livelihood, and an inheritance passed from one generation to the next.

Using carefully selected agarwood from the forests of Upper Assam, Harangajao, Nagaland, Manipur, and Garo Hills, experienced artisans practiced the ancient art of hydro-distillation. Natural rainwater, slow firewood heating, handcrafted stills, and extraordinary patience transformed precious agarwood into one of the world's rarest natural fragrances.

For decades, these exceptional oils quietly travelled through traders into luxury markets around the world. The fragrance became famous, but the craftsmen, their knowledge, and the true origin of these remarkable oils remained largely unknown.

Everything changed when Mr. Nizamudheen, an academic and researcher with international experience, encountered the global oud industry during his doctoral studies in Malaysia.

There he witnessed how agarwood oils were scientifically studied, graded, and appreciated as some of the world's most valuable natural fragrance materials. Yet he recognized that many oils originating from regions like Hojai reached international markets without any connection to the artisans who created them.

Determined to reconnect the fragrance with its true origin, he returned to Assam.

There he met Abdul Haseeb, whose deep knowledge of traditional distillation, unwavering integrity, and commitment to authenticity perfectly reflected the values he believed the industry deserved.

Soon they were joined by Shabeer Ali, a software engineer, entrepreneur, and digital marketing strategist with extensive international experience. As Nizam's childhood friend, Shabeer shared the same vision of introducing genuine artisan-distilled oud to the global market while preserving its heritage.

Together, the three founders combined strengths that rarely exist in one company:
